The explosiveness and power from Chaffin makes him a super high-ceiling. He’s nasty, possesses a high motor and understands how to use his hands to win leverage and create chaos in the backfield. As a pass rusher he is slippery and is proficient in getting off blocks, but I think his run stopping ability is far and away his best trait. He is able to control his gap, create a stalemate at the point of attack, and side step into the ball carriers path. Once he gets his hands on the ball, it’s all over. Absolutely a high-ceiling kid with the ability to really take off this fall.
