Austin is putting together a great start to this summer. He has already participated in a combine and a camp. The 6’4″ 180 lbs WR has used those events to prove he is more than just a size mismatch. Austin has put up a 6.96 L-Drill, 33″ vertical, 9’1″ broad jump, 4.57 40 yard dash. So not only can Austin go up and get it off the top shelf over a DB, but he is going to make it tough for the DB to just stay with him. Austin is able to attack every level of the field thanks to that ability to change direction quickly at his size. His strong hands are able to win reps too when he doesn’t open up a window of separation from the DB. Austin is starting his summer off right and already earned his first offer from St. Norbert’s.

This is shaping into one of the bigger steals in this Class. Austin is a big WR with his 6’4″ 180 lbs frame. It is impressive watching how strong he runs after the catch, keeping his feet through broken tackles. It was surprising to see how he can pull away with those long strides once he gets to open up in the open field. The hands look very natural too, easily plucking the ball out of the air with soft hands. Austin can win with his size, hands, and strength and those traits should stand out at camps all summer. Don’t overlook the Shawano athlete.

Up next we stay out wide for another receiver recruit. Austin is another long, lean WR that is going to become even more dangerous as he fills out. What he put on tape in 2024 points to big things ahead. The sophomore shines in scenarios where he can battle for positioning and going up for 50/50 balls. He is strong through the catch, even among a sea of hands. The sophomore also does well coming back for the football instead of waiting for it. His size, strength, and concentration/aggression at the catch point are intriguing. More to come for this kid.
