About Austin

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay style as a running back is fast, smart, and team focused. I play with speed and confidence, and I take pride in reading the field quickly to find the best lanes and make plays. I work closely with my teammates and coaches, staying coachable and focused on doing my job to help the team succeed. I also bring positive energy every day and always stay uplifted, no matter the situation.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is confident, driven, and team focused. I am charismatic and play with a lot of confidence, but I stay humble and respectful off the field. I keep my emotions under control and stay locked in on my job. I take pride in helping my teammates shine too, and I have been recognized for lifting others up and bringing positive energy. I push myself to the limit.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am not currently involved in any clubs or organizations, and I have not received any non-sport awards. Outside of school and football, I work a part-time job.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through football and working a part-time job, I have developed strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills. I stay coachable, support my teammates, and help keep a positive mindset on and off the field. I have also learned responsibility, time management, and work ethic by balancing school, training, and my job.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have faced challenges with different coaching styles throughout my career. At times I have had to push through criticism and being overlooked, even when I was producing on the field. It was mentally tough, but I used it as motivation to keep working, stay focused, and keep improving. I control my effort and attitude every day, and I treat obstacles as stepping stones to success.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college where I can compete at a high level, be developed as a player, and be part of a strong team culture. I want to play against the best wherever that opportunity is, even if it means being farther from home. I love the game, and my goal is to keep playing at the next level while also getting a great education.
