Belnap enters into our rankings as an ATH, and is one of the best two-way guys across Idaho. Taking over that number four spot in our ranks for his position, he has outstanding instincts, ball skills and is a high IQ player on defense with a quick trigger and balanced cover/tackling abilities both in space and in traffic. Belnap has been flying under the radar on the recruiting scene, but should be able to find a home in college at the D3 level at multiple positions.

Belnap has all the tools to be one of the best wide receivers in the state of Idaho this upcoming season. He has great speed with the ability to really stretch the defense and shows some elite quickness as well. He shows the ability to really get in and out of breaks with ease and then can turn short passes into long runs. Played primarily in a wing t offense but with a new coach this season he should be a focal point of the offense. He catches the ball with natural hands and really does an excellent tracking the ball through the air.

Benlap was the lone sophomore on the all state team this season which is a outstanding achievement in a loaded 4A senior class. Playing for Vallivue to sophomore had a dominant campaign that showed off his talent and ability. At defensive back it’s not often that you are looked at as a defensive player of the year candidate but with the ever evolving offenses around the state you need a shut down defender on the perimeter. Benlap give you just that will a smooth back pedal that allows him to mirror wide receivers in their routes along with fluid hip transitions to get in and out of breaks. He has good straight line speed that allows to make up for anytime he may get beat and plays with a lot of passion. His technique will continue to improve as he grows into his body and will be one to watch for the next two years.
