Although he currently plays off the edge for Morris Knolls, his size and film screams that Anthony Evaristo Anthony Evaristo 6'3" | 225 lbs | ATH Morris Knolls | 2027 State NJ is one of the “big” athletes who can likely play anywhere on the field. Evaristo is very quick off the edge, so much so that he makes it difficult for opponents to get off screen passes. As the pocket settles, he has a keen understanding of exactly when he should retrace back upfield – many times before the quarterback realizes he should. The best surf technique I have seen to-date belongs to Evaristo. As he feathers down the line 1-2 steps, we then see him explode down hill from the backside, crashing plays in the process; that is, he condenses the line of scrimmage extremely well. As a pursuit defender, Evaristo closes space very nicely, while being a proper form/vice fitting tackler who does so low. As a guard, he is freaking nasty. Evaristo comes at opponents relentlessly with a wide base, maximum effort, and full contact. The adage says the game is played in 6-second spurts – Evaristo is the epitome of that.
