Production wasn’t an issue for Abarno last season, when he completed 205-of-311 passes and finished fourth in Connecticut with 2,540 passing yards. He threw 37 touchdown passes and was intercepted nine times. Abarno wore a knee brace at the showcase because of an ACL injury that cost him most of the 2024 season. He came back strong by tossing a school-record six TD passes in Plainville’s 2025 opener. He showed excellent timing and touch on many of his deep throws, and will likely be one of the top pocket passers in Connecticut next season.
