About Angus

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’d describe my gameplay style as disciplined, high-effort, and constantly improving. I play with strong fundamentals, stay coachable, and focus on doing the small things right every rep. I bring energy, consistency, and a team-first mindset, and I’m always working to get stronger, faster, and more complete in every aspect of my game.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’d describe my mentality as focused, disciplined, and coachable. I take pride in showing up early, putting in the work, and holding myself accountable every day. I’m always looking to improve, stay positive, and be someone my teammates can rely on—on and off the field.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Yes. I’m involved in the Young Men’s Service League, where I give back through volunteer work in my community. I’m also an A student in the IB Programme at Woodrow Wilson High School, taking AP and honors classes with a 4.0 GPA. I take pride in being a well-rounded student-athlete both academically and in service.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed strong leadership, accountability, and teamwork through both football and community service. Showing up early and putting in consistent work has built my discipline and work ethic, while being part of a team has taught me how to communicate, support others, and lead by example. Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One of my biggest challenges has been balancing a demanding academic schedule with year-round football training. Being in the IB Programme while maintaining a 3.7 GPA requires a lot of discipline, time management, and consistency. What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that challenges me both academically and athletically. I want a strong academic program where I can continue to grow in the classroom, along with a competitive football program that values hard work, discipline, and development. Being part of a team culture that emphasizes accountability, leadership, and continuous improvement.
