Up in the Mesabi Range, Cherry High School is a hotbed of basketball talent right now but has a high-quality football prospect in the 2024 class in 6’3, 225 lber. Andrew Staples. A three-sport standout, Staples helped lead Cherry to an 8-2 record in 2022 and shows off a dynamic skillset as a 9-man TE and DE. Good hands, noticeable YAC abililty, and effort in the blocking game with a nose and want for the big hit. I also like how he pursues and closes defensively and he can tackle in space and in high-pressure situations as well. No reported recruiting interest yet!
