I recently included Reason in a previous post, and he tagged me again this past weekend following a 10 tackle performance, arguably his best showing yet. After watching a couple of his first two games, I’m at the point where I really want to see him in person. He would be in line for an immediate ranking boost, as I mentioned in the previous article.
Rowan reacts to passing concepts well. He has a good understanding of in breaking routes and where he needs to position himself in zone coverage. His most recent single game cutup includes a rep where he levels a would be slant receiver, showing his ability to read and react underneath.
Not all of his production is included in the 25 second clip, which leaves me wanting more. I’d love to see all of his tackles for loss, sacks and pressures put together on tape. The more tape I watch, the more I want to see this young man in person.

His September 7 tape is what initially got me interested in his game. He recorded three tackles for loss in a 20 second clip and finished with six total tackles in a dominant win where he only played two quarters. Checking back in, I now see a minute long first three game tape posted on X. He has just under two sacks through three games from his linebacker position, along with a forced fumble and more than 20 tackles. That is impressive production for a senior linebacker who is currently on our watch list.
Taking a look at his first three games, what stands out most is the consistency of his tackling technique. Wissahickon High School can count on him to shoot gaps with discipline, tackle with discipline and clean up plays behind teammates who might not be as technically sound. He patiently sniffs out running lanes like the seasoned senior he is. His nose is constantly in the traffic, his facemask is always in the clutter and he is consistently seeking out backs and ball carriers. He is in line for postseason accolades if he continues producing this way, as well as a future ranking on our site.
How about 9 tackles and 3 tackles for loss in half a game? That’s pretty good, and that’s exactly what Andrew RowanAndrewRowan

did. He is a tackling machine. Making tackles in the open field look easy. He has excellent instincts, reads the play well, and comes upfield to make the tackle. Rowan is an excellent linebacker in the 2027 class.

is an excellent inside linebacker for Wissahickon. His ability to read and decipher plays is top-notch. He reads run plays well and then triggers upfield to make tackles. The tackles are usually in or near the line of scrimmage. Then he shows a good tackling ability, especially in the open field. Rowan also shows good pass defense skills. He can make several plays downfield, breaking up passes and taking away passing lanes. Rowan is a good linebacker with excellent tools.
