His ability to shed arm tackles and maintain forward momentum makes him a consistent threat in short-yardage situations. However, Maddrey also has the acceleration to outrun defenders once he gets to the open field. Several of his scoring plays come on delayed counters, a sign of patience and awareness of blocking schemes. His nose for the end zone is undeniable, as he frequently finishes runs with big plays.
