The junior looked noticeably improved as an athlete this season, which strengthens my confidence in his development under a good coaching staff as the baseline traits of a quality strong safety are there.

He is an assertive and effective tackler that will get even better as he keeps filling out his long frame. He is still improving in coverage and has grown enough to at least have chances to make some splash plays.

Mitchell likely will be strictly a strong safety and will need some time to develop but a good coaching staff can unlock the potential with his skillset with a good plan and vision.
