A scrappy linebacker out of Lyndhurst, Allen Frias Allen Frias 5'10" | 155 lbs | LB Lyndhurst | 2027 State NJ , does a great job of taking his drop, leveling out, and then reacting to where the ball is heading. The two-way linebacker also has shown the ability to bring pressure off the edge, and very astutely, matches the quarterback’s hands should be unable to get home – often times deflecting passes in the process. On film, Frias looks tall and lean with a keen ability to get around offensive lineman to his spot. Tape shows us that he course corrects as well, spinning back to the inside gap when he boxes pullers. Finally, what impressed me the most about Frias’ film is that he shows us he can press the hole, but yet is athletic enough to still get outside and make a play near the boundary before the running back can gain the sideline.
