Player Bio
About me
My name is Alexander Mishkin and I play high school football for Central Catholic, Portland, Oregon. I played varsity as a freshman on OL and DL and was on the playoff roster through the state championship. I am also a starter on defense for the Central Catholic varsity lacrosse team as I have played for the US national team (West).
What position(s) do you play? What do you view as your strengths?
I am a 6 ft 3 255 lb OL/nose tackle. My best attributes are my technique, strength and ability to memorize film. I have been training with OL/DL coaches since 5th grade. My one area to improve is my agility. I am currently working out 3 times a week with Will Hayes (ota_teamhayes has my workout videos) who focuses on improving lineman mobility/agility. I also play on the B12 5 v 5 team.
What type of school are you looking for?
As I am only a freshman, I am very open minded to any opportunity. I plan to pursue a major in mathematics and business and would like to attend a school with strengths in those areas. I have no issue attending a school with bouts of cold weather as I am used to the rain and cold of Oregon. I am also interested in possibly leaving high school spring semester senior year and enrolling early.
What are your interests outside of Football?
Outside of football, I play indoor (box) and field lacrosse. I am a member of Team USA West in indoor lacrosse where I start on defense. I am a varsity starter on defense for the Central Catholic lacrosse team.
I am in the Honors Jazz Band where I play Stand Up Bass (my mother is a cellist in the Oregon Symphony and a the Cello Professor at Reed College).
Closing Statement
I appreciate your taking time out of your day to review my bio and film. I am utilizing this offeason to grow mentally and physically through participation in 5 v 5, speed/agility training, film review, weight lifting and club/varsity lacrosse.
