Adequate height, solid frame. Good balance and bend in pass set. A pocket passer with the athleticism to evade the rush and roll outside. Good poise, stands in the pocket under pressure. Good zip and touch on his throws, solid accuracy on all levels of the field.

Rising sophomore Alexander Mahmood Alexander Mahmood 6'1" | 175 lbs | QB Flint Hill | 2028 State VA growth this off-season as a passer is impressive, he looks ready to lead the Huskies offense. While he should have plenty of options to target, Mahmood does a good job of seeing the field, he is very careful with the football. Love the way he was dicing up secondaries during their 7v7s, Mahmood looks like he is making the leap.

2028 out of Flint Hill. 3.94 GPA, 6’0, 155 pounds. A name we at Prep Redzone are becoming quickly familiar with. Mahmood attended our first PRZ VA showcase back in January, he’s coming even more seasoned and more prepared than in the past.

Question I Want Answered: Can Mahmood be named a Top Performer among a talented QB crop in attendance?

Ranking, tape, and recruiting aside, I want to see Mahmood show up and blow away competition. I know the talent is there, I know he can hold his own in a crowd. It’s a matter of proving it with Mahmood. Can Mahmood perform among the best after the combine portion of our event? Can he wow during Indis and 1v1s? I want to see him stand out above the rest, it would do wonders for his stock on our site, as well as among the college coaches present.

With a chance to be Flint Hill’s new starting quarterback this fall sophomore Alexander Mahmood is making significant progress this off-season. Mahmood looks bigger and stronger from his freshman campaign and he acquitted himself nicely this past weekend. He has a calming presence under center and should have key playmakers like Ty Harris back to get him situated. Really like what I saw from him during the individual drills, his improvement is steadfast.

The future QB of Flint Hill has started off strong as the JV starter this season. Through two games (two games have been canceled this season), he is 16 for 34, 319 yards, 1 TD, and 1 INT, averaging 19.94 yards per attempt. He also has 13 rushes for 61 yards, averaging 4.69 yards per carry. He shows good pocket poise, able to maneuver through the pocket while keeping his eyes downfield. An accurate passer from the pocket and on the run. He has solid arm strength and that will develop as he continues to grow and get stronger. You will find his film on his X Account page.
