It’s kind of crazy to think that both our OL5 and OL4 are both from Dell Rapids with our OL4 being

of Dell Rapids St. Mary’s. The 6’4 290 pounder has been a constant name in this top 5 of offensive linemen since this 2027 class came out and roll the tape and you can see why. The Cardinals center is dominant at the point of attack and has excellent pad-level that we have seen plenty of growth with that skillset since last summer camp season. His hands draw always quickly and another area where Alex has seen his upside improve since summer is in regards to his footwork. He comes in as our OL4 in this class out of South Dakota’s smallest division, 9B which is impressive in itself as Alex was linemen of the game during Dell Rapid St. Mary’s Championship run in 9B.

I might need to add, that Alex got his attention today, as he won 9B’s most outstanding linemen in the state championship game that just wrapped up at the Dakota Dome in Vermillion. The 6’4 290 pounder is a two-way starter that made his presence known on both sides of the line this afternoon. He has quick engaging hands and in my eyes, has developed nicely since summer camps with his pad-level he showed off today and on tape. He grades out in our eyes at Prep Redzone Dakota as a high scholarship prospect in this 2027 class.

I already have called it out, but Alexander is one of my favorite 9-man prospects in this class in all of the Dakotas. The 6’4 270 pounder from Dell Rapids St. Mary, is very proficent getting to the second level and it doesn’t take long to tell how great this young man’s work ethic shows to be in the trenches as one that blocks until that whistle blows. Alexander is a constant finisher with every chance he gets on tape too. Love how fast and fluid he is as a defensive end with his hands as you can see the instincts pop out right away especially with his inside moves. There is a huge amount of position flexibility with Alexander on both sides of the trenches as one that I could see playing at just about any spot especially defensively. My gut tells me there will be plenty of college coaches this summer at camps that are surprised that he is just a sophomore.
