Taking a left tackle that’s coached by former UNI and NFL offensive lineman, Brad Meester? Sounds like a good choice.
Alex Briesemeister Alex Briesemeister 6'3" | 270 lbs | OL Mount Vernon | 2027 IA looks the part of a prospect every Division 2 program in the Midwest should be clamoring for. A big, violent tackle that sets the tone for the rest of the Mount Vernon offensive line with his motor that seemingly only revs up further with each defensive linemen he mauls, Briesemeister has great pad-level and plays with a mean-streak.
Briesemeister holds offers from Sioux Falls, Wayne State and Minnesota State-Mankato.

Briesemeister caught my attention while operating on the Mount Vernon O-Line during a game at Solon last season. I looked forward to checking out his junior highlights after the season for a closer look at this talent in the trenches. It confirmed that Briesemeister is a prospect of note, one that should be receiving more attention along the recruiting trail. He handles left tackle well on this level. That could be the path in the future. That said, his skill set would play elsewhere along the line. Briesemeister stands out for his physicality and violent hands, but that’s not to say he’s all brawn. He moves well and easily reaches blocks in space. Briesemeister sets up well in pass pro and displays smooth footwork.
