I am not exactly quite sure what to make of Alex Russey Alex Russey 6'4" | 205 lbs | ATH The Hun School | 2026 State NJ , other than the fact that this kid can ball. In fact, if there was one, and only one, film I would emplore you to watch this rankings update it probably would be Russey’s. Russey was used in a bunch of ways, all over the field, likely to exploit mismatches due to his unbelievable athleticism. No matter where he is lined up on the field, Russey’s explosion and burst translates seamlessly. Furthermore, he moves with extremely quick, lateral cuts. Defensively a corner, Russey gets very good breaks on the ball and will maintain his force leverage along the perimeter. He is aggressive when defending the pass as well. Offensively he alternated between receiver, running back, and wildcat. As a receiver, he sinks his hips very well and uses shoulder/head fakes when working to create separation. All this combined with the fact that he has outstanding vision, he is an elite threat in the open field.

Alex Russy is one of the most intriguing athletes in New Jersey. Listed as a quarterback, the Hun School standout has shown he can impact the game in multiple ways—under center, at outside corner, or anywhere in between.
At 6’4” and 205 pounds, Russy has the frame to add more weight while maintaining his smooth athleticism. With the ball in his hands, he’s a fluid mover who can make plays in space. Defensively, he’s a disruptive presence at outside corner. He moves well for size, reacts quickly, and creates havoc on screenplays. Hun utilizes him as a true jack-of-all-trades, shifting him around to maximize his impact.
Russy’s recruitment has been heating up. He holds Ivy League offers from Harvard, Princeton, UPenn, and Yale, along with an offer from the Army. Most recently, Buffalo jumped into the mix. Expect his stock to rise even further with a breakout season on the horizon.

Alex Russey Alex Russey 6'4" | 205 lbs | ATH The Hun School | 2026 State NJ He is ranked as the #5 class of 2025 quarterback in Connecticut and also the #13 ranked quarterback in the New England. He attends New Canaan High School in Connecticut.
He can process really well especially in timing and working through his progressions. Has lower body good feet and balance. Can see a quick release in his arm motion with the ability to change arm angles. He can escape the pocket when needed or running RPO and still make plays with his feet or arm. He has excellent body size, frame, and growth potential.
Will see his recruitment heighten during the 2023 spring evaluation period.
