Senior Alex Dudley Alex Dudley 6'1" | ATH Sand Springs | 2026 State OK will be one of the leaders of the Sand Springs defense this season. And this is a defense that we think can really take a step in the right direction. Dudley is one of the three leading tacklers from last season that will be returning this fall. Dudley came into last season expecting to be a two-way standout but there is no doubt that he was more impactful on the defensive side of the ball. In addition to being third on the team in tackles, he turned into quite the ball hawk and had a nose for the football. He led the team in interceptions and it wouldn’t be surprising to see him do it again this season. Dudley is one of a handful of seniors that have started for multiple years. 

When you look at the defensive side of the ball, junior defensive back Alex Dudley Alex Dudley 6'1" | ATH Sand Springs | 2026 State OK has the potential to be the top guy on that side of the ball. His production from last season is an indicator that he’s ready to take that next step and lead this defense this fall. Dudley is the team’s leading returning tackler after he finished last season with nearly 70 tackles on the season. Dudley also came up big in the secondary while defending the pass. He had a handful of interceptions and was one of the team’s leaders in pass breakups. And don’t overlook what Dudley can do in special teams this season. He blocked multiple kicks last season for the Sandites.
