He holds just one offer from Wisconsin-River Falls heading into Week 0 and the showed off why he has one of the most productive legs in the Dakotas amongst the specialist group. Every kick I saw regardless if it was one of his made field goals last Friday night or one of his three touchbacks raged with great hangtime on every kick and the high amount of extra length he has with his made field goal attemps would have been good from 40-45+ yards easily. He surely fits the mold of a scholarship level kicker at the next-level in my eyes.

Easily the best three-way athlete on our KP list for the 2027 South Dakota class is Warner’s Alec Mikkelsen Alec Mikkelsen 6'1" | 210 lbs | K/TE Warner | 2027 State SD who takes over the KP1 spot here in the rankings. The 6’1 210 pounder, not only has great hangtime and length on his field goals and a long kickoff leg, but also has a great football IQ as an all-around athlete for the Monarchs. I like how twitchy he is as a defensive end getting off the snap as his ability to progress quickly into the backfield sticks out on numerous reps. He’s also a sound red-zone threat at the tight end position giving Alec not only the nod for best K/P in class, but the athleticism is another area that gives him position flexibility at the next-level. Also the biggest stockriser in this 2027 group of specialists.
