Every bit of 6’1″ 215 as listed on his Twitter. Akin is taller and more muscular than most running backs. At today’s camp, Akin impressed me with his route running, as the running backs were doing 70% of the camp. Most taller RBs struggle a bit with change of direction and overall route running, but Akin did not. Not perfect, but Akin consistently ran out routes and kept on finding himself open. Plus, Akin does a great job of catching with his hands.

Akin’s highlight tape flashes pretty dang good top speed and solid vision. I don’t think Akin is the most explosive player out there, but his top speed is quite intriguing.
