Joway had an impressive junior season at receiver, leading his team with 29 catches for 703 yards and seven touchdowns in 10 games. AJ has explosive speed which he uses to blow by opposing defensive backs with ease in the deep passing game. He is also impressive after the catch, showing the ability to use his speed and elusiveness in the open field to turn short passes/screens into big gains. Joway also played a key role on defense, finishing his junior year with 38 tackles and a team-leading four interceptions. Joway currently holds an offer from Ohio Valley and I expect more to come his way this upcoming season.

Through five weeks, he is tied with Campbell and Badger for the 5A lead in interceptions with four. He has also accounted for nine tackles and is Seneca’s leading receiver, catching nine passes for 181 yards and four touchdowns so far this season. Joway doesn’t currently hold any offers but he is definitely a player who will be worth keeping a close eye on over the next two seasons.
