I actually really struggled with Aidan’s ranking. I settled for a top 35 spot, but there is a legitimate case for him being top 25. His size, frame and incredible athleticism gives him a strong foundation. He possesses great hands and all of the intangibles in the world. If he starts out of the gates balling out, I certainly won’t be shocked at all.

Aidan checks in at the #34 overall player in the state and the #3 ranked tight end. The first that that stands out about Aidan is how well he moves for a player of his size. I was able to watch Aidan live this summer and he was a player that impressed with his attention to detail from the tight end spot. Aidan should extremely solid hands, catching everything thrown in his general direction. Aidan showed excellent straight line speed and also excellent cutting ability getting in and out of his cuts with fluid motion. Keep an eye on Aiden this fall. The Kent State Commitment is big time and will shine every time he hits the gridiron.

Aidan was a kid I had heard a lot about but had yet to see him in action. The recent Kent state commit showed up Sunday and stood out from the second I seen him. The big Physical tight end showed all aspects of his game. At 6’4″ he displayed a wide catch radius and an excellent ability to adjust to throws not on the mark. I was also impressed with Aidan’s burst off the line of scrimmage and excellent feet coming out of crisp breaks. Aidan is set to be a big problem for defensive groups this fall and I expect a big fall ahead for this young man.

I watched Aidan quite a bit yesterday. Early in warm-ups, Aidan stood out to me because of his size. Legit 6’4″, long limbs, and athletic build. During the initial drills, I thought Aidan did a solid job, consistently showing above-average athleticism.

Going into 1-on-1s, I liked Aidan, but I didn’t love him. Leaving 1-on-1s, Aidan was one of my biggest standouts.

He’s another skill player who consistently won reps by keeping things simple and doing what he does best. Against press, I was consistently impressed with Aidan’s release. He’s able to quickly chop his feet, pick a direction, and immediately win leverage while barely being touched by the opposing DB. At the top of his route, he was simply decisive. Changing direction, Aidan was able to maintain his same speed, and that usually allowed him to earn an extra step on his DB.

I do think there’s room to grow, but this was a very promising performance. Right now, I like him as an X receiver in college. If he’s able to bulk and prove himself as a blocker, he could be an in-line TE.
