Paul Gregorian | Prep Redzone Scout
The St. Mary’s prospect sees a uptick in his rankings after a stellar senior season and remains one of the top unsigned prospects in the entire state of California, holding multiple offers. He is a very balanced player with outstanding fluidity in space, high football IQ and ball skills for a defensive back along with truly elite downfield speed and recover length. He has the ideal size and build for the position and is looking to be an absolute late add steal in the 2025 cycle. The 3-Star prospect holds offers from BYU, Lehigh, Montana, Nevada, and SDSU.

This is one of the more impressive commitments that the Hornets have gotten in recent days, and locking down one of the top defensive back prospects in the state of California is very impressive. The St. Mary’s product held offers from BYU, Montana, Nevada and SDSU before committing to the Hornets and is rated as a 3-star prospect per 247-Sports.
He is a natural defensive back with fluid hips in transition, quick trigger abilities to the ball and has outstanding instincts and ball skills at the point of attack. He also flashes excellent open field tackling abilities and can come up and set the edge/make plays in the box when needed and is a very well rounded prospect that should excel early in the Big Sky.

Excellent cover corner that can lock down opponent’s top receiver. At 5’11” 170 lbs. he’s got the lateral quickness, change of direction, and top end speed to stay in phase to all three levels of the field. His fluidity and quick twitch allow him to mirror receiver’s lateral movement and close separation at the short and intermediate depths. Covers the deep third well with a smooth transition and acceleration out of his turn. He’s physical using his hands to jam at the LOS and maintains clean contact to squeeze and put himself between the ball and the receiver. Efficient with his footwork, he limits wasted movement and is technically sound throughout the play from his back pedal, to his transition, and through his break. Offered by six D1 programs thus far.
6 Offers: Lehigh, Sacramento State, Nevada, Montana, BYU, and San Diego State

McGee-Hall is one of the best cover corners in the state, and has dominated the TCAL for the past couple seasons. He is a very technically sound corner with fluid hips, a natural pedal and breaks quickly to ball carriers while able to make plays on the ball downfield with good hands and has return abilities as well. He plays physical up at the LOS, and can jam up receivers while also a high IQ kid in zone coverage that knows when to bait quarterbacks into poor throws and breaks to the ball without taking false steps and shows elite closing speed and PBU abilities. He was just offered by Sacramento State, BYU and Nevada and is up to multiple FBS offers at this point and should be a 10+ offer guy by the time he makes his decision.
