2025 Final Rankings Risers (Defensive Backs)

Gibbs has consistently been one of the top defensive back prospects in the state in a loaded 2025 class, and moves up in our final rankings update, and deservingly so. He is a smooth player with natural instincts, tremendous ball skills and is terrific in run support from the perimeter. He shows fluid hips, man cover abilities and is extremely physical near the line of scrimmage. Rated as a 3-star prospect, he signed and early enrolled with Washington State and is a very nice get for the Cougars.

https://twitter.com/ishxgibbs/status/1805297978896511346

The St. Mary's prospect sees a uptick in his rankings after a stellar senior season and remains one of the top unsigned prospects in the entire state of California, holding multiple offers. He is a very balanced player with outstanding fluidity in space, high football IQ and ball skills for a defensive back along with truly elite downfield speed and recover length. He has the ideal size and build for the position and is looking to be an absolute late add steal in the 2025 cycle. The 3-Star prospect holds offers from BYU, Lehigh, Montana, Nevada, and SDSU.

https://twitter.com/AhmyriH/status/1857526441145233551

Kim is coming off a stellar senior season for Servite and is a true middle of the field safety that is very well balance both in coverage and when coming down into the box in run support. He breaks quickly to ball carriers, explodes through initial contact at the point of attack and takes good angles in the open field while able to make plays behind the line. He has good size at 6'0" and just under 200 pounds with a frame to continue adding weight at the next level. He is a very high IQ player that can cover the back-half of the field and has good range in open space. Kim signed with St. Thomas and is a very nice get for the FCS Minnesota school.

https://twitter.com/BraydenKim2025/status/1868886780654883112

The Downey product is on his way to the Junior College level and is no doubt a 4-year school guy moving forward. He excelled on both sides of the ball for Downey and is a twitchy athlete with outstanding ball skills, downfield speed and short area quickness on both sides of the ball. He has tremendous natural instincts when breaking to the ball and is a consistent tackler on defense. Offensively, he has big play abilities downfield while able to track the ball over the top, make contested catches and is tough to bring down the open field after the catch. He is another prospect that has plenty of room and growth potential and should have a successful post high school career.

https://twitter.com/ddesminn_/status/1856848921982804158
