Expert Analysis
Ed OBrien | Prep Redzone Scout
Cook completed 7-of-13 passes for 117 yards and two interceptions. Unfortunately, the last interception ended his team’s last hope at tying the football game late in the fourth quarter. Cook did make several clutch throws, including a 32-yard deep ball to Parker Gianelli and a 23-yard strike to Athas in crunch time. The offense couldn’t get the running game going, and that made things even harder for Cook. He showed flashes and battled until the end.

Adam Cook Adam Cook 6'0" | 160 lbs | QB Archbishop Curley | 2027 MD has a solid understanding of the RPO game. He has a good touch on his throws and shows speedy decision-making. Cook quickly identifies open receivers and accurately places the football into their hands in stride. Cook’s touch on deep short-to-intermediate passes, mainly down the seam, is excellent, as he delivers well-timed balls into receivers’ strides. Especially on short and intermediate routes, Cook’s quick release gets the football out quickly before the defense can react.
Cook can become an even better passer-by stepping into his throws more consistently to generate more velocity. While he makes solid placement with his passes, adding more zip—specifically into tight-window passes—will make him a better quarterback against faster, better-disciplined defenses. Cook’s highlights include mostly RPO-based tosses and vertical shots, so it would be helpful to see him throwing other passes to better gauge his throw range.
