Aaron Pilla Aaron Pilla DB Audubon | 2026 NJ has been the model of consistency for Audubon this season. The 5’11”, 165-pound two-way standout has quietly built a reputation as one of South Jersey’s most dependable playmakers — whether lined up in the slot, deep in coverage, or helping in the run game.
As a wide receiver, Pilla’s reliability shines through. He runs crisp routes, has soft, confident hands, and shows the ability to adjust mid-route based on the quarterback’s read or the defensive look — a skill that speaks to his football IQ. He thrives in the short and intermediate passing game, particularly on slant routes, where his quickness and body control allow him to win inside leverage and pick up tough yards after the catch. He’s also unselfish, willing to block on the perimeter and do the little things that extend drives.
Defensively, at free safety, Pilla brings the same level of poise and discipline. He’s fearless in run support, attacks downhill with good angles, and uses his length and instincts to challenge receivers at the catch point. He’s shown the versatility to drop into coverage or line up at corner when needed, giving Audubon flexibility on the back end.
