About Aaron

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I play to dominate. I finish blocks. I play until the whistle blows. I work on technique, footwork, leverage, movement, and power to accomplish this.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I'm kind of quiet until I get to know someone. I joke and play, but when it's time to be focused, I lean into that.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Honor Roll student/athlete. I also do power lifting and field events for track.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I'm learning to be a leader. I want to be someone the underclassmen can look up to and someone my coaches can trust to make smart decisions.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I am dyslexic. I didn't find out until 7th grade. Accommodations are now in place, so that makes it more manageable.

What type of college are you looking for?

I want to go to a school that feels like family. I'm not sure where that will be, but I trust that the right fit is out there.

Ownes is Interior guy by default given his size, but the athleticism and willingness to move around suggest he has positional flexibility on both sides of the ball, if needed at the next level.
