Aversa has done a great job keeping up with his Hudl, you can see five different single-game cut-ups, all from his senior season at Shaler Area. Aversa’s junior tape was posted back in May, which is why he is currently on our watch list instead of being ranked beside his QB peers. Aversa’s first rep on his Hampton tape gives coaches the idea of the level of athlete we’re dealing with. Aversa makes a few defenders miss behind/near the LOS, only to bounce a run outside and continue to evade defenders in the open space. Shaler Area runs option sets tailored to Aversa’s capabilities, often pulling OL to get out in front of Aversa. A great accelerator and gap-presser, Aversa will likely be ranked as an ATH over QB, yet he’s no slouch as a passer, I might add. Reps against Plum Borough prove that he can hit open targets downfield, in comfortable pockets, or in situations that demand improvisational skills. Great all-around athlete behind center at Shaler Area.
