AJ could shoot up the rankings by the end of the season. Last season, he was an incredibly dynamic and valuable player for a frankly bad Jenison team. Whether it was as a kicker, receiver, or linebacker, AJ made plays. At linebacker, AJ was an aggressive run-stopping outside linebacker. I love the play speed and effort he played with. At receiver, AJ is fundamentally raw, though he was a great jump-ball candidate. I have no doubt that AJ is a great football player, but I struggle to find a recruitable position for him. I love his size, love the play speed, but this season, AJ needs to improve as a linebacker or receiver. With the new coaching staff at Jenison, I am confident that he’ll be utilized very well and have an opportunity to earn college offers.
