Cody Leist
High school football is one of Cody's lifelong passions. A three-year letterwinner at Logan Elm and a three-year member of the Capital University football team, he started covering preps in 2008 while recovering from off-season shoulder surgery. That season, he helped chronicle his high school alma mater's turnaround from an 0-10 season to a 12-1 finish, which included the first undefeated regular season and first postseason victory in program history. He returned to the Crusader football program in 2009 as a senior while maintaining a weekly routine of covering games for the Circleville Herald. Cody has also written for the Portsmouth Daily Times, the Maysville (KY) Ledger Independent, and Friday Night Football (FNF) Ohio Magazine. A member of the Ohio Prep Sportswriters Association (OPSWA), Cody also participated for a number of years in the Associated Press prep polls and the all-Southeast District teams. He currently resides in Canal Winchester with his wife and daughter.
