He fought through some adversity and helped lead a come-from-behind win. The entire game, the home crowd chanted against Polston and tried to rattle him. The ultimate compliment as I told him after the game. Yet, he still came through and made the plays when needed. He made a few fantastic throws on the night including a pinpoint throw through a tight window rolling to his right on 4th down to Carter to convert. Seeing him play live was good because I wanted to see where he was with his development and he seems right on track. A good prospect with a high upside and still developing. The game ended 27-21 with Bo having a rushing and passing TD. Overall I was impressed with Polston and how he handled the adversity thrown his way.

Twitter: @BoPolston

[player_tooltip player_id='788399' first='Fa'Rel' last='Carter'] - Decatur Central - ATH - 5'10" 160lbs

Carter was the best raw athlete on the field last night and it wasn't particularly close. He's great on offense and does good things with the ball in his hands. He's Polston's #1 target and trusted option along with being the leading rusher. He's got good vision and long strides. He's able to get in the open field and make guys miss. He'll stick his foot in the ground and get north and south. Minimal wasted movement and does a good job getting off the line when lined up at WR. He left the game as the leading receiver and rusher for Decatur Central for good reason. He's able to get open, does a good job being in sync with his QB, and is developing into a phenomenal player.

Twitter: @Farel_Carter1

[player_tooltip player_id='997855' first='Levi' last='Dorn'] - Mooresville - WR - 6'3" 185lbs - 2024

Dorn was arguably the most impressive all-around WR on the field last night. He's a true possession WR who does a great job getting open at the top of his routes. When they needed to move the ball, they went to Dorn. I left as a big big fan of this young man and what he can become. Great hands, good football IQ, and an elite frame all help him in every category. He had 2 TDs last night. The first TD was right in front of me in the end zone. He ran a post, saw it wasn't there, turned around, and broke out. QB gave him a ball with a chance and Dorn made an unreal grab in the back corner. His second TD was in the opposite endzone with another corner grab. Dorn has a career with over 80 receptions, 1100+ yards, and 16 TDs, yet is completely under the radar. He's a good athlete and just checks boxes off for me. I left a big fan of Dorn and I stopped him walking off the field after the game to let him know how impressed I was with his game. Hopefully, he begins to get the looks he deserves, because he's an impressive possession WR schools should be getting to know.

Twitter: @DornLevi

[player_tooltip player_id='997870' first='Hogan' last='Denny'] - Mooresville - QB - 6'0" 195lbs - 2024

Denny is an absolute gamer and his guys love him. He's scrappy, is willing to lay his body on the line for the guys around him, and just makes big plays when he needs to. I appreciate who he is as a football player because his effort and infectious ability is there. After a few big throws, his WRs were feeling it. Dapping him up and letting them know how much they appreciate him. He's a good athlete and does a good job escaping pressure while keeping his eyes downfield. The perfect example was as the game was ending. Mooresville got the ball back down 13 with 1 minute or so to go. When they needed to convert, Denny rolled out of the pocket, kept his eyes downfield, and found a WR who was crossing face downfield. An incredible effort by passer and receiver ended in 6, but that play was set up by Denny's ability to create on the fly. 3 passing TDs on the night wasn't quite good enough to get it done, but it's easy to see right away why Denny has the respect of the guys around him.

Twitter: @TheRealHoganD
