We added over 50 players to the most recent update highlighting players that popped during the 2020 season and have seen their recruiting on the rise. Here’s an in-depth look at the new offensive lineman to the rankings.
Kyle Sfarcioc Kyle Sfarcioc 6'4" | 295 lbs | OL Liberty | 2021 State AZ , OT, 6’4” 295 lbs., Liberty
Sfarcioc has solid frame at 6’4” 295 lbs. that is well balanced and strong. He’s a good athlete for his size that shows good feet, bend, and flexibility. He’s violent at the POA with his natural strength and power but understands the importance of balance and footwork control. Good ability to isolate one-on-one with a defender and win those matchups. He’s a physical and hard-nosed player that finishes his blocks with tenacity often ending with defenders being driven off the LOS or on their back. Understands how to use his leverage and pad level to his advantage. He has seen an uptick in his recruiting since the back end of 2020 when he received FCS offers from San Diego, Morehead State, and Abilene Christian.

Christian McCook Christian McCook 6'1" | 260 lbs | OL Hamilton | 2021 State AZ , 6’1” 260 lbs., Hamilton
McCook was the anchor of the solid Hamilton offensive line and developed into one of the top OC in the state. He’s an impressive athlete with good lateral agility, bend, and overall movement. Does a great job using that mobility to work to the second level and execute different types of blocks such as quick pulls, long pulls, chip blocks, etc. Love his quick hands and effective hand placement to gain that initial leverage and body control. Not the biggest in terms of size and frame but plays with great leverage allowing him to be extremely powerful at the contact point. Shows a high football IQ, he plays well with his eyes recognizing where pressure is coming from and effectively communicating to the rest of the OL. He was a second team All-State selection and currently has an offer from Eastern New Mexico.

Alexander Bruns Alexander Bruns 6'3" | 285 lbs | OL Hamilton | 2021 State AZ , OG, 6’3” 285 lbs., Hamilton
One of the transfers in from Colorado that made a huge impact in their run to the state title game. Recently committed to Colorado Mesa, he possesses good size at 6’3” 285 lbs. for an interior offensive lineman at the next level. Shows a good ability to move defenders and get a strong push at the LOS using his raw power and strength. Demonstrates that strength with his good initial punch and ability to latch on and control oncoming blockers without being swatted away. Loves his tough and aggressive attitude and the way he finishes his blocks through the whistle. Decent explosion and quickness out his stance allows him to beat opponents to the spot and gain initial leverage. He’s good technical offensive lineman with sound fundamentals and footwork. Before committing to Colorado Mesa, he picked offers from a handful of D2 and D3 programs.

Ali’i Kai Ormita Ali’i Kai Ormita 6'1" | 285 lbs | OL Chandler | 2021 State AZ , OG, 6’1” 285 lbs., Chandler
A technician at the OG spot for the top ranked Chandler offense. He flashed good feet, hands, and mobility throughout the season with his consistency and effectiveness in both the running and passing game. Love his ability to efficiently use his hands to latch on without allowing defenders to get into his body. He plays with good pad level and leverage that allows him to react well to defenders lateral movement and be strong at the contact point. He’s smart and instinctive in the way he attacks opponents understanding his angles and where to intersect depending on the play. Committed to play at Rocky Mountain earlier this month over offers from Dakota State, University of Mary, Concordia, Benedictine, and Lake Forest.
