McDaniel was a late addition to the camp and what stood out to me about him was that he got better as the camp went on.
He was solid on Day 1, struggled in the Accuracy Challenge but rebounded with a great Pro Day workout and performed well on Day 3.
McDaniel has confidence too and proved he belonged in the talented field all along.

At 6’1” 190 lbs. McDaniel is a gifted natural passer. He’s a savvy athlete with an accelerated release allowing him to get the ball quickly. He’s got great touch and trajectory on deep routes but can zip a one ball into a tight window at the short and intermediate level. Doesn’t lose accuracy or velocity when making off platform throws. Shows smooth and efficient footwork in the pocket and on the run, he’s quick to get into his drop and limits wasted motion. Really like his ability to deliver the ball under pressure and with a defender in his face. Threw for almost 3,000 yards and 33 touchdowns as a junior with only four interceptions. Recruitment has really taken off since the start of the new year with his first five P5 offers coming in since then.
