The 6'0 signal caller demolished the Golden Eagles defense both through the air and on the ground. Santel single handedly put up 523 total offensive yards and we still have nine games to go! The competition will certainly get tougher but if the Stars quarterback can continue putting up games somewhat close to this monster performance, Santel could be leading his team into postseason play.u003c/spanu003e","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-64e60a0284fd5"} /-->

Griffith was an absolute force on the line of scrimmage as he not only made constant plays in the backfield but also in space. The Saints junior D-lineman topped things off by blocking a field goal, so Griffith did just about everything on defense besides sell popcorn. If he continues this kind of play the rest of the year, Griffith will be in consideration for D2-Class A defensive player of the year.u003c/spanu003e","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-64e60a028504c"} /-->

Positional POTW

QB: [player_tooltip player_id='1019867' first='Nick' last='Osmun'] - Stone Memorial: 19-32 passing for 344 yds & 4 TD's (12 carr, 58 yds)

- Osmun had a stellar opening game for his Stone Memorial team, leading his team in passing and total yardage along with a key victory over 6A Cookeville.

RB: ‘25 [player_tooltip player_id='466232' first='Jayden' last='Milton'] - West Carroll: 24 carr. for 294 yds & 5 TD's

- A one man wrecking crew in the War Eagles win over Gibson Co., Milton does what he does best and that's produce! Milton was big time last year as a sophomore & this opening game shows bigger things ahead this year!

WR/TE: [player_tooltip player_id='265417' first='Kedarius' last='Jones'] - Whitehaven: 5 rec. for 198 yds & 3 TD's

- Strong opening statement made by one of the best available #TN2024 prospects in the state. Jones is a big time playmaker that was easily the best player on the field last Saturday against Memp. Central.

OL: David Crockett Pioneers

- Even though the Pioneers took a loss in Week One, their offensive line still helped pave the way for two rushers for over 150 yards a piece, led by seniors [player_tooltip player_id='362085' first='Tyson' last='Matthews'] and [player_tooltip player_id='240021' first='Isaiah' last='Tisor'].

Ath: Ben Franklin - Cornersville: 18 carr. for 303 yds & 4 TD's

- Standing 6'4 220 lbs, Franklin is a massive running back that is listed under the “athletes” because with his size, the Bulldogs senior could play multiple positions on the next level. His size and physicality was definitely an issue for the Webb School in Week One.

DL: [player_tooltip player_id='285347' first='Brock' last='Flint'] - Arlington: 5 tackles, 5 TFL, 1 FF & 3 sacks

- The Tigers picked up win one of the year last week behind a strong defensive effort, led by Flint, who had a breakout party against Memp. Overton where he wreaked havoc all night long.

LB: [player_tooltip player_id='277761' first='D.J.' last='Curll'] - Centennial: 9 tcks, 5 TFL, 4 sacks & 1 Int

- Missing in action on the field for over a year, Curll was ready to play some football and boy was he ready! The 6'2 senior backer made plays for his Cougars defense in a variety of ways, including an impressive interception covered in the flat.

DB: [player_tooltip player_id='362083' first='Josh' last='Davis'] - Ooltewah: 3 tcks, 1 FR & 2 Int's

- Davis was a “dude” in the Owls 41-14 win over Chatt. Central last Friday as a contributor on offense but a force on defense where he picked off two passes and provided lockdown coverage most of the game.
