North Central Iowa: Top Unsigned Class Of 2021 Prospects (Part 5)

We are now into the long days of the winter, but for those Class of 2021 prospects looking to find a new home, each hour is critical. Early-morning workouts, late-night film sessions and more all come together to make for an interesting time right now. We’ll do our best to spotlight those still searching for homes here, so feel free to message us any prospects that we miss. Cole Shirk, Emmetsburg The prototypical Emmetsburg fullback, Cole Shirk experienced a memorable senior campaign. Shirk, who stands 6-foot-1 and weighs 170 pounds, ran for 996 yards and nine touchdowns, averaging seven yards per carry. Shirk also showed off his athleticism, catching a pair of passes. On defense, he picked up 3.5 tackles for loss. With good size and speed, Shirk could fill a variety of roles including short-yardage back or a end-rusher on defense. Jordan Anderson, Emmetsburg The lead force on the Emmetsburg line, Jordan Anderson held the valuable role of center. Standing 6-foot and weighing in at 235 pounds, Anderson constantly cleared a hole for the stable of running backs for the E-Hawks. He also was a great pass protector and caused havoc on defense with 41 tackles including 10.5 for loss and 5.5 sacks. Jayden Harder, Sioux Central An old-school type player, Jayden Harder was the heart and soul for Sioux Central's offense and defense over the past few years. Harder finished his senior season with 630 yards rushing and five touchdowns while recording 72.5 tackles including seven for loss. A hard-nosed linebacker, Harder had an incredible ability to find the football. And once he latched on, there was no getting away from him. Jordan Khommanyvong, South Central Calhoun Another multi-sport athlete, Jordan Khommanyvong waited his turn to take the ball in the South Central Calhoun offense. He ran for over 200 yards and had over 200 yards receiving as well. He also handled return duties, averaging 13 yards per kickoff return and 15 yards per punt return. Khommanyvong also was a key member of the Titan defense that constantly kept the opposition out of the end zone. He picked off two passes. Garrett Quirk, East Sac County Garrett Quirk was a dual-threat for the East Sac County offense this past fall, running for 186 yards and catching a team-high 22 passes for 306 yards with three scores. Excellent hands and quick feet allowed Quirk to make big play after big play for the Raiders. He also shined on defense with six tackles for loss.
