2024 Rankings Newcomers: Running Backs

He checks in just outside the top fifteen at the position in our most recent PRZ rankings update, and could see a slight bump in the next update. Wilson looks for contact in the open field, shows cutback abilities in space and forces tacklers to take bad angles due to his sneaky third level speed. The regional offensive player of the year will once lead the backfield for Catalina in 2023, and will look to build on a special Junior campaign last Fall. On tape, he shows that he is a do it all ball carrier with good power in traffic and leg drive through the first level while able to bounce it outside when needed, gain the edge and is patient in tight windows while also flashing cutback abilities as well. In the passing game, he can play in the slot or catch out of the backfield from various angles while sticking his foot vertical quickly and forcing defenders to take poor angles.
