has been on my radar for a while now and continued to impress as a sophomore. On defense, he lines up at safety where he is very reliable in pass coverage. He does a great job of reading routes then flowing through the secondary to put himself in position to make a play. When the ball is thrown his way, he does a great job of reacting with perfect timing to either knock away the pass or come away with an interception, finishing this past season with two interceptions in nine games. He also recorded 35 tackles and two tackles for loss as a sophomore, and made an impact on offense, running the ball 32 times for 220 yards and three touchdowns. Bishop will be a player worth keeping an eye on as he continues to develop over the next couple years.

is a player who jumped onto my radar with an impressive freshman year. He showed versatility on defense, showing the ability to line up at both safety and outside linebacker. Against the run, he does a great job of reading the play then coming downhill in a hurry to make the tackle. Bishop finished his freshman year with 52 tackles and three tackles for loss in 10 games. He also came away with one interception and made an impact on offense at running back, carrying the ball 30 times for 110 yards while also catching six passes for 21 yards. Elijah should definitely be a player to watch heading into his sophomore year.

With very few chances to showcase his full potential in the game, Elijah was still able to etch out 19 yards on carries of +1, +5, and his last touch went for 13 yards on a very physical run that placed his team inside the 10 yard line. Overall Bishops bright side is that he can play big and small. He possesses the quickness and footwork to be a threat on the perimeter and also runs with an attitude to eat up short distances.

Bishop is an all around smart multi sport athlete looking to walk away with a “W” this year as an alum of this rivalry. In normal season play he has solid stats both on the ground and in the air which led him to receiving the POY in his conference.. The main thing that jumps out at you first is his good hands out the backfield. Bishop will keep defenses honest and create easy mismatches in the underneath passing game. Getting the ball handed off to his pocket from this years quarterbacks will only open the game up more. Strong lower half and contact balance is what to expect every time Bishops name is called. He needs to pop one early!

, an athlete at Green County Middle School. What I like about Bishop’s playstyle is his breakaway speed and ability to get wide open for the deep pass in the backfield. I also like Bishop’s size and strength on the ground, proving he can blast through the pocket and utilize his strong footwork to juke out the defense on his way to the house.

Bishop stands out with his strong footwork and breakaway speed from along the edge, showcasing his ability to turn around for the pass and juke out the defense down the stretch. I also like how Bishop can pick up speed and create solid seperation when given too much space by the defense.
