It is no secret that the three-star signal caller is one of the more under-recruited players regardless of position across California. He is a top 15 quarterback within our PRZ rankings and should once again lead one of the top programs in Norcal to a successful season this Fall. He is a high IQ kid that checks all the intangibles you would want in a quarterback along with throwing for a ridiculous 3,700 yards and 40+ scores while showing that he is a true gamer with elite leadership qualities. Baker is a no brainer Division I caliber kid that should close in on his first offer sooner rather than later.
Highlights
Vailea checks inside our top twenty at the offensive line position within our rankings, and is one of the more athletic and physical kids that the Bay Area has to offer regardless of class. He shows elite movement abilities in pass protection, body control against speed/power rushers and can counter inside moves while showing patient hands. In the run game, he snaps out of his stance and gets vertical quickly while showing good knee drive, knee bend and hand placement through out his progression. Vailea should be able to play either tackle or guard at the next level and is a no brainer FBS caliber kid that should continue to see his stock rise and is a no brainer offer now candidate.
Thomas has impressed at multiple showcases this off-season and has elite length, range, high point abilities and ball skills downfield and can win with physicality near the LOS. He passes the eye test at 6’0 and change with a strong build and is a very fluid peddler in transition that breaks quickly to the ball, and is a high IQ kid in zone coverage that understands his responsibilities in space. Not afraid to trigger in run support, he takes good angles in the open field and shows closing speed on the edge. Thomas is another Bay Area prospect that is a no brainer offer kid and should be closing in on his first offer soon.
