We are going to shine a spotlight on some signal callers that opened some eyes last season. The 2025 quarterback class is one that has the potential to be special. Here are some prospects to keep an eye on this season.
Maddox Hampton Maddox Hampton 5'11" | 175 lbs | QB Nettleton | 2025 State AR -Nettleton-6’0” 180-Pounds
The Nettleton signal caller has a strong arm, and he has put it on display on the gridiron as well as the baseball diamond. Hampton is able to fit the ball into some tight windows. He hits his wide receivers in-stride. Last season, Hampton threw 1,880 yards and 22 touchdowns. Hampton is setting the stage for a strong 2023 season. I would expect a strong season from both Hampton and Nettleton this season.
Cavonta Washington Cavonta Washington 6'0" | 180 lbs | QB Rivercrest | 2025 State AR -Rivercrest-6’0” 180-Pounds
Cavonta Washington Cavonta Washington 6'0" | 180 lbs | QB Rivercrest | 2025 State AR exploded on to the scene in 2022. The Rivercrest quarterback settled into the position nicely. Last season, he threw for 2,000 yards and 23 touchdowns passes. Washington does an excellent job of extending the play and keeping his eyes down the field. However, he is not afraid to pull the ball down and use his legs to pick up yards on the ground. Washington is a quarterback to watch out for this upcoming season.
Grayson Wilson Grayson Wilson 6'4" | 190 lbs | QB Central Arkansas Christian | 2025 State AR -Central Arkansas Christian-6’3” 185-Pounds
The Central Arkansas Christian signal caller had a great 2022 season, and that momentum has just continued into the offseason. The multi-sport star has been tremendous over the past few seasons. Wilson is not afraid to test the opposing secondary with the deep ball. Wilson threw for 1,700 yards and 19 touchdowns in the 2022 season. He is setting the stage for a strong 2023 season. Wilson has not slowed down one bit this offseason and I look forward to seeing what he accomplishes this season.
Chase Forte Chase Forte QB Little Rock Southwest | 2025 State AR -Little Rock Southwest-6’1” 195-Pounds
The Little Rock Southwest signal caller has had an impressive offseason. Forte does an impressive job of moving around in the pocket and buying time to make the throw. He is an accurate passer that can throw his wide receivers open. Forte has a strong arm and is not afraid to make deep throws. His ability to keep the defense honest with both the run and the pass is going to be interesting to watch this season for Little Rock Southwest. I expect a strong season from the Little Rock Southwest signal caller this season.
Brandon Cobb Brandon Cobb 6'4" | 205 lbs | QB Pulaski Academy | 2025 State AR -Pulaski Academy-6’4” 195-Pounds
Brandon Cobb Brandon Cobb 6'4" | 205 lbs | QB Pulaski Academy | 2025 State AR has had a tremendous offseason. He has put a strong arm on display this offseason in several 7-on-7 tournaments this offseason. Cobb does not just lock in on one receiver. He spreads the football around and will take what the defense gives him. The Pulaski Academy signal caller is setting the stage for a strong 2023 season. The Bruins has the talent all over the field to contend for a state championship. Scouts should keep an eye on Cobb this season it has the potential to be a great one.
