The 2025 Rankings are set to update on Monday, and we have a boatload of talented newcomers to spotlight. Among the newcomers are the five offensive weapons you'll read about today. I believe all of these prospects to have high potential, and as long as they keep improving, they'll be college prospects a year from today!

QB | Dominic Giovannini | South Lyon East | Hudl

South Lyon East had a resurgence last season. After posting a 3-7 record in 2021, SLE flipped that record going 7-3 while going undefeated at home during the regular season. A big part of that turnaround may be because of then-Sophmore QB Dominic Giovannini. I see SLE as a physical football team, so when I turned on Dominic's film, I didn't quite know what to expect.

Turning on his film, it's immediately obvious that this isn't an average QB. His highlights showcase a quick release, great agility, a smooth deep ball, and great throw power. His quick release alongside throw power makes sure the ball gets to the targeted receiver within a blink of an eye, giving the secondary little time to react when the ball is thrown. Dominic runs outside of the pocket more than he has to, but he makes up for it by being a good thrower on the run.

Outside of these positives, Dominic struggles with the fundamentals. His footwork is often unbalanced, and it always seems he's anxious to run the ball. Although his release is always quick, and his balls are always missiles, he struggles with consistency with his form. His throwing motion on two different pocket passes can look distinctly different, for example. Dominic's film shows a ton of big-time plays, and I cannot wait to see what he's able to do in his Junior season.

WR | Mstafa Aljanaby | Fordson | Hudl

Fordson has a lot of young talent at the steering wheel. One of those key pieces is standout receiver Mstafa Aljanaby. I like his release, and his route-running is good enough to catch DBs lacking. There are a few plays in particular that truly show Mstafa's ability to get open due to running a good route. Something else that caught my eye is his catch radius. Mstafa has a few highlights where he makes contested, physical catches, oftentimes showing off a great vertical. Now with a full-time Varsity season ahead of him, I'm very excited to see what he can do moving forward.

WR | [player_tooltip player_id='601928' first='Colin' last='Charles'] | Northville | Hudl

Colin played a productive slot role for Northville last season. This is a player who excels in the short game and runs extremely hard in the open field. Receiving a lot of screens/sweeps, Colin is able to outrun some defenders while being physical and staying upright while being tackled. He's also shown flashes of elusiveness, especially when running in the middle of the field. I still think Solin has a bit of improvement before he's a truly dominant force. But as long as he's had a productive offseason, there's no reason to think he can't have a breakout season.

WR | Christopher Battley | Portland | Hudl

Battley is a sneaky-good WR for Portland. Measuring in at 6'1 190 (Hudl), Battley does a great job at using the size he has to create separation, alongside being an overall great fundamental player. I like his release, as it's quick and, at times, physical enough to immediately create separation. Running downfield, I'm quite impressed by his speed. When the ball is thrown to him, he sports great concentration and is able to make some not-so-easy catches. Once he has the ball, Battley is not afraid to be physical, make a quick move, or burn whoever is next to him with great explosiveness. Heck, he neared 200 yards against DeWitt! I hope to see him utilized even more next season, as I see a very high ceiling!

ATH | [player_tooltip player_id='601925' first='Hussein' last='Hamie'] | Dearborn | Hudl

Last season, Hussein had a standout season with 1326 AP yards. It's interesting- Hussein played the majority of his offensive snaps at QB while he's listed everyone as a WR. He played well despite oftentimes not being in his main position, as he successfully ran the read option. Defensively, he stopped the run quite well while being solid in coverage. On his Twitter, he's shared more of his receiver highlights at offseason activities. Optimistic to see what's to come!
