Another very promising position group that only had 5 players placed in our top 100, but one of them ( Savion Hiter Savion Hiter 5'11" | 190 lbs | RB Woodberry Forest | 2026 State VA ) being ranked 3rd overall. A fun group with a lot of upside here is a breakdown of each one:
The home run hitter for Woodberry Forest Savion made a very compelling case to be our number 1 ranked overall prospect, he is that good. What stands out to me the most is his vision once this young man sees an opening goodnight. All he did in his freshman campaign was account for 29 total touchdowns and over 1,500 yards rushing not too bad. Hiter transferred from Louisa County to Woodberry Forest just a few weeks ago and if you are a Tigers fan you should be thrilled. The kid has amassed numerous major offers already, including South Carolina, Ole Miss and Mississippi State and trust me plenty more are coming.

Coming in at number 2 on our list is Henrico’s 3 star running back Darren Williams Darren Williams 5’9″ | 175 lbs | RB Henrico | 2026 State VA . The 13th ranked prospect overall in the state, Williams is a shifty back who is not afraid to lower his shoulder. His footwork and vision are top notch and if a defender comes in to tackle him without proper form he will make them look silly. He also makes plays at linebacker and safety for the Warriors defense. While his size is not ideal is foot work and power more than make up for it. I would not be surprised to see him playing some receiver this fall too.

Number 3 on our list and 38 overall is the Midlothian Trojans future super star DK Chapman DK Chapman 5’10” | 175 lbs | RB Midlothian | 2026 State VA Jr.. The rising sophomore had 10 total touchdowns last year for the Trojans, expect that production to double as his stock rises. Another back who has solid speed and explosion out of the backfield, when he is stiff-arming defenders it reminds me of a young Clinton Portis. Chapman’s ceiling is not even close to reaching the top yet, I see him as more of a power back as he gets older, but only time will tell. Regardless of how much stronger and faster he gets, do not be shocked if he leads the district in rushing yards this fall.

The Nandua Warriors have a workhorse back in Nazere Blake Nazere Blake 5’8″ | 180 lbs | RB Nandua | 2026 State VA , this young bull will make you pay if you doubt him. The All-district selection as a freshman accounted for 9 rushing touchdowns and 61 tackles on defense in 2022. The dude is a difference maker, watch his tape, he makes plays as a runner, receiver, linebacker and a special teamer (1 blocked field goal). Blake’s reign of terror is far from over as he was named the offensive and defensive player of the year for the Eastern Shore District the best part is, he was 14 years old.
