Which incoming freshman QBs could see the field early in 2023?

Prep Redzone has the details...

[player_tooltip player_id='580361' first='Hayes' last='Maginnis'] - Newnan

One of the top young athletes across the state, Maginnis is a dynamic multi-spot star who has dominated in both football and baseball throughout his prep career. He has great size for his age and has plenty of accolades to back up the hype he's receiving as he enters his freshman season in the fall. The former Falcons United quarterback is a 3-time Born 2 Compete QB of the year, Offensive Player Of The Year, and a 3-time Born 2 Compete State Champion. He's athletic in the pocket, he's mobile, and has explosive arm talent. He can throw with touch, but he can throw some lasers into coverage as well. A natural leader who understands his role, Maginnis is a winner in every aspect of his life and bound for a gigantic career at quarterback over the next few seasons.

[player_tooltip player_id='262739' first='JR' last='Harris'] - Central

A young quarterback to know out of Carrolton in West Georgia, Harris is an explosive runner who will bring plenty of speed to the Central offense as a freshman in the fall. He shows good arm strength, but his ability to run makes him a top young dual-threat quarterback in the state. He reads the field well, shows great burst through the line of scrimmage, and has breakaway speed. As a passer, he knows how to push the ball down the field. He can throw on the run, shows accuracy throwing into tight windows, and already looks like he knows what he's doing. Not only can he throw the ball, but he knows how to play the position for someone his age. A 2021 FBU National Champion, Harris is also the 2021 Born 2 Compete Player of the Year winner. He has the potential to have a strong first season, and enough speed to see some early D1 interest after a strong freshman season.

[player_tooltip player_id='465250' first='Teddy' last='Jarrard'] - North Cobb Christian

An up and coming QB prospect with good pocket presence and a strong arm, Jarrard is a multi-sport athlete with really good size for his age at 6-foot-1 175-pounds. He already shows impressive accuracy down the field and knows how to put touch on his throws. He throws well on the run, has a natural feel for the position, and his arm will only get better. A Born 2 Compete QB of the Year award winner, Jarrard also plays big-time baseball, showing his drive and competitiveness all year round. His arm will only get stronger and he has a chance to see the field early as a freshman in 2023. He has a lot of potential, and if he continues to develop and progress, he could turn into an easy D1-caliber prospect down the road.
