Krehl runs a lot bigger than his size would indicate. He has sneaky-good ability to run through contact, maintain balance and keep pushing vertically. His low pad level makes him hard for linebackers to find him running behind offensive linemen, which he uses to his advantage. He’s also a good linebacker on defense with ability to drop in coverage, spy the QB and quickly wrap up in space.

Krehl continues to help the Knights dominate on the ground as they move on to Regionals. This group that East Noble has right now is special and they’re led by Krehl and what he does on the ground. It’s not just the big plays in the running game, it’s the effort he puts into blocking, the high-motor they all have for each other, and they feed off of one another. Krehl gets better as the game goes on and they start to wear down the defense across from them. Krehl’s 131 rushing yards and 2 TDs led the game.

Krehl is a do-it-all guy for East Noble who has more value to his team than he likely realizes. Having a guy play offense, defense, special teams, and be a leader is a very rare feat. Even rarer to be as productive as Krehl is. I know it’s a small school and that is the knock against some of these guys, but if you are that dude you are supposed to dominate. 635 yards and 12 TDs on the ground, 252 yards and 4 TDs through the air, and 88 tackles with 11 TFLs as a Junior. He’s then a fantastic baseball player who hits for average. A good sign of hand-eye coordination which is a key attribute for any LB or RB.
