The first ever Kansas City Area QB Showcase gets underway tomorrow at 11am at Liberty High School. It will feature prospects from Missouri, Kansas, and Arkansas. The quality on hand is impressive in and of itself, but what will make this event special will be the eclectic nature of the talent on hand, with prospects that can fit into any and every offensive system under the sun. see the bottom of the page for event organizer contact info

[player_tooltip player_id='218445' first='Ethan' last='Hansen'] – Rockhurst High School 6'1 175 C/O 24

[player_tooltip player_id='218445' first='Ethan' last='Hansen'] is a high ceiling QB prospect with buckets loads of arm talent and plus athleticism. Hansen possesses one of the quickest releases that will be on display this Saturday. There is almost a nonchalant element to his throws, but the ball absolutely fires out of his hand. He is very dangerous throwing on the run, as he can unleash bullets suddenly, with minimal shoulder and hip torque and can threaten all areas of the field with his arm strength. His set up is verry efficient, keeping his shoulders square, with coordinated feet that work in perfect harmony with the route concepts. Hansen has excellent accuracy, especially on vertical routes, where he can put the ball in a bucket from 40-50 yards away. In addition, Hansen is a dangerous runner when he can break into the open field, as he can hit an extra gear and pull away when allowed to gain momentum.

[player_tooltip player_id='350827' first='Logan' last='Morley'] – Shawnee Mission Northwest High School (KS) 6'1 165 C/O 25

[player_tooltip player_id='350827' first='Logan' last='Morley'] is a precise field general QB prospect with savvy beyond his years throwing the football. While he has a variety of weapons in his arsenal, accuracy and ball placement are the traits that really jump off the screen, as well as an innate understanding of DB positioning in 1 on 1 coverage. Morley does an excellent job putting balls where only his receivers can catch it, routinely dropping the ball on the correct shoulder in relation to the DB's position, which make his back shoulder throws almost impossible to defend. There is a particular throw on his highlight reel on which he releases the ball with his receiver on the 10 yard line, dropping the right on the receiver's outside shoulder in the endzone. He is an excellent anticipation thrower, with the confidence to release the ball before his receiver breaks out of his stem, with inch perfect accuracy and timing to allow his receiver to run through the ball. Morley is additionally a threat when scrambling, with quick feet and a very good feel for running lanes when the play breaks down.

[player_tooltip player_id='590658' first='Tillman' last='Martin'] – Liberty North High School 6'3 190 C/O 25

[player_tooltip player_id='590658' first='Tillman' last='Martin'] is a prototype pocket passer with excellent size and football IQ. Martin has an impressive understanding of coverages for a sophomore QB prospect. He shows confidence in his reads and releases the ball on time. Martin throws a very catchable and RAC conducive ball, which will allow him to excel in a timing based spread system that requires timing and accuracy to give his playmakers an opportunity to shine. Martin displays very good mechanics in the pocket, with choppy, active feet, and smooth and efficient drop backs, keeping his shoulders perpendicular to the line of scrimmage.

[player_tooltip player_id='415303' first='Jayce' last='Glasper'] – Wichita Northwest High School (KS) 6'2 185 C/O 24

[player_tooltip player_id='415303' first='Jayce' last='Glasper'] is a dual threat QB prospect absolutely brimming with potential. At a high school program that is on a hot streak producing running backs, namely Jets running back Breece Hall and Utah signee [player_tooltip player_id='35641' first='John' last='Randle II'], Glasper can hold his own running the football. He has electrifyingly quick feet, with devastating cuts and the ability to stop on a dime and leave defenders grasping air. Moreover, he has the instincts and eyes of a running back, with the creativity to find alternative running lanes and a knack for setting defenders up to fail. While Glasper's mechanics throwing the football are still a little bit raw, he has high end raw arm talent, with the ability to threaten every level of the field. On the plays in his highlight reel where he does get his mechanics right, he effortlessly launches the ball downfield without having to step up into the throw.

[player_tooltip player_id='1198317' first='Kylan' last='Mabins'] – Glendale High School 6'1 185 C/O 24

[player_tooltip player_id='1198317' first='Kylan' last='Mabins'] is a gritty and athletic natural born playmaker at the QB position. He has the arm talent and accuracy, throwing an easy on the eyes ball with some juice on it. What makes him so fun to watch however, is that he is the type of quarterback that will stick a dagger in the heart of a defense, when it is all but assured it has won the down. He has tremendous instincts and spatial awareness in the pocket, with very quick feet and a well-developed frame, allowing him to at times toy with pass rushers and shrug them off when they can get hands on him. In addition, he has very good vision, and his eyes stay glued downfield when he is working his magic evading pass rushers. QBs with Mabins' skillset in creating when plays break down can at times have messy footwork, but Mabins' flashes excellent footwork in the pocket, keeping his feet in perpetual motion, with the quickness to maintain his base when the pocket gets dirty.

[player_tooltip player_id='145519' first='Branton' last='DeWeese'] – Washburn Rural High School (KS) 6'0 185 C/O 24

[player_tooltip player_id='145519' first='Branton' last='DeWeese'] is a savvy beyond his years field general with coaches' dream fundamentals. DeWeese looks to have an innate ability to navigate the pocket. He always seems to be a step ahead of the defense, with active and choppy feet, making subtle movements to find alternative launch points. His ability to keep his feet in line with the route concepts looks to be innate, and he does a good job going through his progressions efficiently while flashing the ability to move defenders with his eyes. He has the arm strength to threaten deep when his feet are clean, and he can certainly attack outside the hashes on intermediate throws. DeWeese does carry a running threat when things break down, with sneaky good running instincts and fearlessness for a pocket passer.

Quinn Northrup – Springfield Catholic High School 6'1 195 C/O 24

Quinn Northrup is a strong armed, gritty passer with sneaky athleticism. Northrup has very good arm talent, with legitimate field stretching ability when he has his feet under him. He is not afraid to zip balls over defenders' heads on seem routes and can attack the outside hash without dangling the football to be undercut and picked off. While he won't win too many foot races, he has some short area juice, and the build and power to break tackles. His arm strength allows him to be effective throwing on the run, with enough lower body agility and hip torque to be equally as effective when rolling to his left as a right-handed QB.

drewmcortez03@@gmail.com

waynebaskerville@gmail.com

tylerkline02@gmail.com
