Engaging defensive tackles right at the snap, Gary does a great job of locking into a defender and not allowing them to shed off blocks easily. Gary drives hard off the ball to create interior holes for his back to go through. When facing the blitz, Gary shows good reaction to deflect linebackers away from plays to allow plays to develop further. Gary is able to load up and reset from blocks quickly while defenders try to find a way around him. His strength at the position even get him quite a few pancakes against smaller defensive linemen with more leverage. This offseason, Gary has been working on his technique and speed to further develop his game. Where some players shy away from the slot receiver position, Cupach shows no fear lining up to exploit soft spots in a defense. Running his routes hard and at full speed, Cupach creates separation from defenders with his quickness. Exploiting weak spots in the zone, Cupach shows a high level of focus catching passes with multiple defenders in the area. He has a nice set of hands to haul in passes and bring them into his body to keep moving forward. When his has an opportunity to make moves in the open, Cupach shows the same skill set that make him a superior route runner to make defenders miss and get even more yards after the catch. Getting reps in on defense as well, Cupach plays hard from the cornerback position with his athleticism and instincts keeping him in plays. Playing his junior season at 6'3 and 235 lbs, Bottiggi was more than most linemen could handle in 2022 thanks to his strength and moves at his position. A state qualifying wrestler who drops weight down to 215 to compete, Bottiggi locks into a dogfight every snap and plays until the whistle. Bottiggi backs up his game with the ability to shed off blocks unlike most edges. His agility from the position allow him to get after the quarterback in a hurry to prevent the ball from getting out cleanly. Bottiggi loads up in the four-point stance and fires himself into his man like a loaded coyle. Once engaged with a linemen, Bottiggi has shown the ability to use quick moves to get off his man, or just over power guys with a bull rush that is hard to stop. A physical backer with the size of a DI athlete, Neckar has a nose for the football and good form to bring down backs of any size. A sure-tackler, Neckar plays with good form when seeing a play develop to shed blockers to stop plays before a big gain. While he does his best work in run stopping, Neckar showed as a junior he was more than capable of dropping into coverage and came a way with a few interceptions last season. Neckar has a natural flow from the linebacker position to follow plays and strike down players with form and ferocity. Against the RPO, Neckar's patience pays off as he rarely gets sucked into the wrong spot and more often than not comes up with the play himself. Neckar is a go-to guy for his coaching staff and gets in on offense as a productive back that gets the hard yards and dabbles at the fullback spot where he can be seen bulldozing defenders.
