Five Impressive Music City Mayhem Standouts

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>From the short time I got to spend at Music City Mayhem, I got to see a ton of elite talent! It was a great few hours of seeing a wide variety of talent from a wide variety of teams, locations, and ages. I was especially happy to see many elite Michigan prospects come out, but some very notable out-of-state guys really caught my eye as well! This article will cover five prospects that caught my eye, and I'm confident that all of these players have insanely bright futures! </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">QB | [player_tooltip player_id='568191' first='Nolan' last='Klein'] | Saline | 2026</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I feel silly to admit this, but I just got the connection that the [player_tooltip player_id='568191' first='Nolan' last='Klein'] I saw last weekend was the same [player_tooltip player_id='568191' first='Nolan' last='Klein'] that jumped off the tape when I was ranking the 2026 class! Everything I saw on film showed, and even more. In a bit of a limited environment, I got to see Nolan solely pocket pass and read defenses without any line pressure or option to run. With these limitations, Nolan impressed everyone on the field. Like the film, I loved Nolan's arm in person, and he was able to pick defenses apart. Great athlete, has amazing potential, and for now a high D2 / MAC potential for Klien. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">QB | [player_tooltip player_id='1613735' first='Jamal' last='Shakespear'] | West Bloomfield | 2026</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Shakespear was the main signal caller I watched last weekend, and he was making some insane throws. In addition, there's a certain grace and fluidity that Jamal plays with. It's impressive how calm, collected, and pinpoint he is while making his throws. It was impressive how quickly Jamal kept getting the ball out, and it was equally impressive how he could quickly read the defense and trust his receivers. In this environment, Jamal impressed everyone. Assuming he'll take the helm as WBs QB during the 2024 season, I can't wait to see how he continues to improve. I'm extremely impressed by his ability to run downfield, catch the ball, and just his overall movement. Seeing Isaiah ball out against elite competition 8 hours away from home, playing a position he's not extremely experienced in, was very impressive. This goes to show how in-shape and athletic Isaiah is, and reaffirms his very high ranking in the 2026 class. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">WR/DB | Carlson | Midwest Boom </h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I regrettably didn't get his full name, but #11 for Midwest boom (Missouri prospect) was sensational. #11 was very twitchy on both sides of the ball. Defensively, he was physical, played tight man coverage, and had a few PBUs. His athleticism and acceleration made him able to stay toe-to-toe with some of the best athletes on the field, and opposing receivers weren't able to get much, if any, separation. Offensively, he played a slot role and was great with short-routes and going in motion. Whenever he was out there, he was making plays, looked incredibly fluid, didn't get tired, and obviously has a very bright future. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">DB/WR | Arkez Fontenot | TNSavages</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Akrez was a playmaker this past weekend! Especially at DB, he was rangy and making plays. In the game I saw the Savages play, he and the whole secondary were dominant, having fun, and making plays. In addition to his overall performance, he passes the eye test and has a great build for a 2026 prospect. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
