5 Central Indiana 2025 WRs Causing Havoc For Defenses

<p>We're looking at 5 Central Indiana receivers in the 2025 class who are being added to the 2025 rankings update this week! The class is loaded so we wanted to stop and highlight 5 guys that have more than earned any attention that comes their way.</p>   <h2>[player_tooltip player_id='732741' first='Taylor' last='Clark'] - Brebeuf Jesuit - 6'0" 155lbs</h2>   <p>Clark is an incredibly explosive athlete on the field, and the way he's able to catch up to any ball and get underneath it, is dang near special. The old joke of just chucking it deep because your guy is down there somewhere and will find the ball, fits Clark to a T. There are times he running downfield and isn't able to fully accelerate just to make sure he doesn't out run the QB's arm. Once he gets the ball in his hands, he hits a second gear and always pulls away from the rest of the field. This past season he ran away from quite a few crowds on his way to put up 29 receptions, 519-yards, and 10 TDs. Pushing 18-yards per-reception and hitting double digit TDs gives you an example of his big play ability. He's not just fast, but he's got some really nice in breaking cuts and has the potential to turn into a route running king. Most notably, in my opinion, he had a play where a ball was thrown way out ahead and not only did he run underneath it, but he dove and laid out making the catch for 6. Late in the game, under the lights, and the crowd went wild. In one play, he showed just what he's about and who he is. Clark is someone you shouldn't underestimate or overlook. He's got my attention, the attention of his offensive coordinator for new things to add, and the attention of the defenses he's coming across in the coming years. Big things could be in store for Clark if he continues to perform and developing the way he is.</p>   <p>Twitter: <strong>@TaylorClark_3</strong></p>    <h2>[player_tooltip player_id='732740' first='Jace' last='Scrafton'] - Danville - 6'5" 215lbs</h2>   <p>Scrafton is a 2-sport Stud for Danville and arguably has a future in either sport. While I can't speak much about the basketball side of things, on the football field however, he's got quite a bit of things you can point out to be excited about. First, and most obviously, is his size. He's incredibly long, has a pretty good vertical, and is thick enough to absorb hits. With his length comes the contested catch ability you would expect. He's more than capable of going up and snagging a ball out of the air. He's got decent straight line speed and is actually able to run by some DBs. He made one grab this past year along the sidelines where he caught up to it and brought it in with 1-hand on his way to the ground. An incredible highlight reel that ESPN would love, lost in a school with less than 600 students. Even better, Scrafton has shown the ability to be a Possession WR and move the chains. Not needing to be a flashy guy, but willing to run simple routes, catch simple passes, and get crafty after the catch. He's not a big guy who is easy to bring down and he's able to pick up YAC in a hurry. With his size and ability to navigate the middle of the field, I'd be intrigued to see if he's interested in TE, or a hybrid-type role. He's checks just about every box you want from a TE, including the elite basketball rebounding background. Scrafton is someone who should be on every radar moving forward because he's truly a guy who could blow up and be one of the better recruits in the state region when it's all over.</p>   <p>Twitter: <strong>@JaceScrafton</strong></p>    <h2>[player_tooltip player_id='321375' first='Gabriel' last='Aramboles'] - Westfield - 6'0" 200lbs</h2>   <p>Aramboles is a fluid athlete quickly on the rise, for good reason. Whether it be getting open and catching a pass or being 15-yards downfield blocking in the running game, you're getting a high-effort guy with a ton of talent. He's young, getting a feel for things, and is still making those big plays you want an upcoming guy to make. For his age, he's a good route-runner and can create some space. I anticipate that to only get better as he develops as well. He's crafty with the ball in his hands and can make guys miss with a hesitation move or general agility. He's been in situations with the ball in his hands along the sideline with defenders incoming where he needed to make something happen. He made them miss, tight-roped the line, and got in the end-zone for 6. He's operated in the slot and been able to find open grass and spaces in the middle of the field and he's had success being hit on deeper routes, both in and out-breaking. He's already amassed 76 receptions, 1105 receiving yards, and 7 TDs to this point through 2 years of his high school career. You can fully expect those numbers to continue to grow next year and the year after. Aramboles is right where he should be with his development and playing experience. If he continues the trajectory he's on, he's going to be one of the more decorated WRs in the area by the time 2025 comes around.</p>   <p>Twitter: <strong>@GabeAramboles</strong></p>    <h2>[player_tooltip player_id='553135' first='Tyler' last='Champion'] - Hamilton Heights - WR - 5'10" 155lbs</h2>   <p>Champion came out this past season and not only had a breakout season, but became a big part of their offense. He played very little Varsity the year before, and while he looked good in JV, he seemed to take a step up this year. He hit big play after big play and had great chemistry with Derrer, his QB, who we looked at not that long ago. They were on the same page and Champion has incredible ball skills for his size and wins fights in the air all the time. He's able to fend off guys which is one reason why he hit double digit TDs last year. When you look at his season in total, you can't help but be impressed with what he did with his opportunity. To put up 45 receptions, 767-yards, and then 13 TDs, you have to be doing something right, on and off the field. That level of production and chemistry with your QB doesn't just happen. He is still young, learning the position, and is putting up big numbers while looking good doing it. This is just the tip of the iceberg for Champion as he spends the next 2 years developing and proving this is who he is.</p>   <p>Twitter: <strong>@TylerJChampion1</strong></p>    <h2>[player_tooltip player_id='196711' first='Devaughn' last='Slaughter'] - Cathedral - 6'0" 160lbs</h2>   <p>Slaughter is a really good athlete that Cathedral just wanted to get on the field sometimes last year. Whether it was at QB and taking a zone read or a deep shot down the field, he delivered and showed the promise and flash you want from young guys if you have a loaded roster. He's got quick feet with not much wasted movement at the line. He's able to run by defenders and has the ball skills to turn and adjust to the ball while in air. He's even made a few incredible looking diving grabs. He's good in the screen game with his ability to get to the outside and make defenders miss in small spaces. Slaughter has also been working this offseason specifically on his route tree to become more twitchy and explosive out of his cuts. He could come out and be a dynamic slot WR for O'Neil and company this year, and I'd be all for it. He isn't afraid to get dirty and be a part of the running game by blocking in the slot or out wide. He's been used in jet-sweeps, screen passes, and just about anything you can think of to get the ball in his hands.
