2025 5’11 180 RB – Peyton Nelson Peyton Nelson 5'10" | 170 lbs | RB Dr. Henry A. Wise | 2025 State MD – St. Frances Academy
Peyton “Pey Pey” Nelson recently transferred from Good Counsel to St. Frances Academy, and he will make a huge impact on the Panthers’ rush attack this Fall. Nelson delivered an incredible season as the #2 running back for Good Counsel, and he put up huge numbers along the way. Nelson ran for nearly 70 yards per game on average, and he scored a handful of touchdown scores on the year as well. Peyton Nelson Peyton Nelson 5'10" | 170 lbs | RB Dr. Henry A. Wise | 2025 State MD already has extremely elite D1 offers from schools like Oregon, Penn State, and UMD, therefore St. Frances is in a great position to compete for a National Championship again with him on their roster this Fall.

2025 5’11 185 RB – Iverson Howard Iverson Howard 5'10" | 195 lbs | RB Quince Orchard | 2025 State MD – Quince Orchard
Iverson “Rocket” Howard is absolutely one of the top young running backs in Maryland, and he led Quince Orchard to a 4A state championship in 2022. Howard is a 4 star prospect with a very high ceiling, and this is why he already possesses so many D1 offers. He has offers from power five conference programs such as Wisconsin, Penn State, Cincinnati, Pitt, and many more, but these are just the tip of the iceberg for Iverson Howard Iverson Howard 5'10" | 195 lbs | RB Quince Orchard | 2025 State MD . He’s on track to be the #1 overall ball carrier in the state, and I can guarantee that 2023 will be another huge year for Iverson Howard Iverson Howard 5'10" | 195 lbs | RB Quince Orchard | 2025 State MD of Quince Orchard.

2025 5’11 180 RB – Tomir Bransford – St. Frances
During the offseason, St. Frances Academy star running back Tomir Bransford transferred to Westlake High School in Atlanta. Bransford will thrive in the Lions’ run heavy offense, and he was also recently invited to the 2023 Rivals Camp Series in New Jersey. Schools such as Arkansas, UCF, Louisville, and Cincinnati have already sent offers to Bransford, and the reason is his clear next level ability. Tomir Bransford will have much less competition for touches on the Westlake roster, and I believe he will also make a big impact on whichever college program he ends up choosing to attend.
2025 5’10 170 RB – Bud Coombs – DeMatha
3 star ball carrier Bud Coombs of DeMatha is arguably the most exciting overall football player on this list. He runs with immense power, and his yards after contact numbers are absolutely off the charts. Coombs is also the #30 overall ranked running back according to rivals.com, and he already has elite offers from schools like Wisconsin, Temple, Marshall, and UNCC. Bud Coombs is set to have his biggest statistical year yet in 2023, and I believe he is in line for WCAC honors at the end of the Fall season. Scouts nationwide must have their eyes on Bud Coombs and the DeMatha Stags this upcoming season.

2025 6’0 180 RB – Kendrick Worthington Kendrick Worthington 6'1" | 200 lbs | RB Loyola-Blakefield | 2025 State MD – Loyola Blakefield
As a Sophomore, Kendrick Worthington Kendrick Worthington 6'1" | 200 lbs | RB Loyola-Blakefield | 2025 State MD already earned MIAA-All Conference honors, and he has also secured the #1 ball carrier position on the Loyola roster. Worthington ran for more than 500 yards and 7 touchdowns in 2022, and I wouldn’t be surprised in the slightest if he doubles those numbers in 2023. Kendrick Worthington Kendrick Worthington 6'1" | 200 lbs | RB Loyola-Blakefield | 2025 State MD is definitely one of Maryland’s best running backs, and he must be recruited with the utmost seriousness. He’s in a great position to have a huge year this Fall for the Loyola Blakefield Dons.
