After doing an early examination of the 2022 class, the wide receiver group is a deep and talented one. The class some targets in the red zone as well as some intriguing slot wide receivers. With most colleges and universities focusing on the passing game, the 2022 class in Arkansas has several talents that will check plenty of boxes.
<strong>Quincey McAdoo- Clarendon</strong>
McAdoo has drawn the attention of numerous power five schools. McAdoo as of this writing has 15 scholarship offers from schools such as, Miami, Arkansas, Baylor, and Oklahoma to name just a few. Clarendon has lined up McAdoo all over the field. As a sophomore he accounted for 672 rushing yards, 345 receiving yards, and he scored 13 touchdowns. The young man has the height to be a problem in the red zone and he has the speed to cause problems for the defense no matter where he is lined up. McAdoo can change an offense for the school he commits to. Look for his recruiting to continue to heat up over the summer.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="75066" first="Isaiah" last="Sategna"]- Fayetteville</strong>
Sategna is a wide receiver that can play the slot position or stretch the field deep on the outside. He is a two-sport athlete with 6-6 high jump. The young man mixes his athleticism with solid route running. Once he gets into the open field, Sategna is difficult to bring down. Sategna’s excellent speed can leave corners indecisive on whether to attempt to press him. With eleven offers already, Sategna is a player that will likely earn more offers over the course of the summer.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="75100" first="Kahlil" last="Mobley"]- Shiloh Christian</strong>
The Shiloh Christian Saints are not at a shortage for talent. [player_tooltip player_id="75100" first="Kahlil" last="Mobley"] gives the Saints a red zone threat. Mobley is 6-4 and does an excellent job of being able to high point the football. Shiloh Christian does a good job lining Mobley up all over the field. The Saints do a great job of being able to take advantage of his height and speed. Mobley is a multi-sport athlete for the Saints and will have a busy summer. Mobley may not be a name that is well known yet but that will be taken care of during the playoffs and during the offseason.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="75090" first="Chas" last="Nimrod"]- Bentonville</strong>
The Bentonville Tigers always have one of the most talented teams in Arkansas and Nimrod is a good example of that talent. Nimrod has quickly become a wide receiver that the Tigers lean on a great deal. It has worked for Bentonville this season; the Tigers are 10-0 with an excellent shot of advancing deep into the playoffs. Nimrod has the size to cause problems for opposing defenses being at 6-2. He has the speed to stretch the field deep and is a good red zone option for the Tigers. Nimrods’ recruiting should heat up more during the offseason and the summer.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="75120" first="Jordan" last="Jackson"]- Watson Chapel</strong>
[player_tooltip player_id="75120" first="Jordan" last="Jackson"] has all the tools to play on Saturdays in the future. Jackson at 6-3 has the size to be a target in the red zone. He is a player that can stretch the field. Jackson has a knack for hauling in the big reception. Jackson performed well this season for Watson Chapel. He hauled in 18 receptions for 202 yards and two touchdowns. Covid-19 played havoc with pretty much every school this season and Jackson should build off his 2020 season and have a great 2021 season. Jackson should see some scholarship offers come his way during the offseason and he is a definite sleeper that will do big things at the next level.
