Who are they? Let’s take a look…
Nick Woodford – RB – Northeast
An easy addition to the newest 2025 rankings, Woodford ran through Middle Georgia defenses left and right last season. The Macon native had to make a big jump in the newest update after an incredible sophomore season where he came in 2nd in the state in rushing yards. A tough back with a smaller, but muscular frame, Woodford was tough to square up and get to the ground consistently all year long. He has breakaway speed when given space to run and was always capable of scoring from anywhere on the field. Woodford has plenty of straight-line speed, but his quick feet, burst, and ability to make defenders miss in the open field make him an easy D1-caliber talent. He rushed for an amazing 2,746 yards and 40 touchdowns this year, averaging an outstanding 228.8 yards per game this season. He had a breakout season for the ages last year and should see his recruitment pick up over the next several months. He’s currently ranked in the latest update as the No. 45 prospect in Georgia for the 2025 class.
Josiah Allen Josiah Allen 5'10" | 190 lbs | RB Wheeler | 2025 State GA – Wheeler
A breakout running back in Cobb County last year, Allen is a shifty back with explosiveness at 5-foot-10 190-pounds who was reliable all season long last year as a sophomore for Wheeler. Allen is a back who knows how to consistently elude defenders down the field. He’s quick, shows impressive burst and change of direction, and was an easy addition to the latest rankings, now coming in at No. 82 overall in the state. Allen was a work horse for Wheeler last year, rushing 208 times for 1,751 yards and 16 touchdowns. He rushed for an outstanding 8.4 yards per carry and an eye-opening 160 yards per game. His biggest game came against Cherokee where he rushed for an amazing 344 yards and three touchdowns. Allen rushed for over 100 yards in seven games and at least 200 yards in three of his first six games. He was a big-play back who could take over games, and should take over a lot more as a junior in 2023. He’s an easy D1 caliber back and will prove it more and more throughout his career.
Charles Williams Charles Williams 5'10" | 175 lbs | RB Early County | 2025 State GA – Early County
Down in Southwest Georgia is where you’ll find one of the more productive backs in South Georgia from the 2025 class. Williams, who led Early County is rushing last season, is a tough, physical back and one of the top two-way players in the area. At running back. Williams breaks a lot of tackles and can put the offense on his back. That’s a big reason why he was added to the latest update, now coming in at No. 77 in the state for the 2025 class. He rushed 130 times last fall as a sophomore for 971 yards and 10 touchdowns. He got the season off to a big start, rushing for 100+ yards and seven touchdowns in his first three games. He also rushed for 372 yards in the final three games of the season, averaging an outstanding 12.4 yards per carry during that stretch. Look for him to have an even bigger role as a junior next fall.
